Did your PMR come back? How quickly? And did it feel the same as the first time? I’ve been off steroids for 1 month and feel a lot of stiffness which has grown increasingly each day.
pmr locations, Mostly in hips, thighs, shoulders and hands as stiffness. This is not the same as my original full blown PMR. The stiffness is different every day and the worst ... When PMR was diagnosed, I initially tried to taper off prednisone in 4 weeks. A fast taper didn't work and that was when my rheumatologist said I would need prednisone for an "extended period of time" which turned out to be 12+ years.
pmr locations, Has PMR affected your hands? In February, I noticed my legs and arms were often sore and stiff (no pain in my neck or shoulders). I lived with the pain for three weeks before seeing my doctor. He diagnosed my situation as PRM and put me on prednisone with taper. I am now down to 1.25 mg a day. My legs have been pain free for several weeks, and my arms are also mostly pain free.
I don't know ... I started turmeric after PMR when diagnosed with arthritis. 500 to 100 is a safe dosage. It can interact with blood thinners.
